Ploughman's Progress is not only about ploughing, ploughing matches and ploughmanship. It also chronicles the establishment of the World Ploughing Organissation, showing how societies all over the world cooperated, negotiated and overcame problems to establish the World Olympics of the Plough and expand the worldwide fellowship of ploughmen and their families. The statistics in the appendices complete the documentation of the Organisation's history, and the numerous photographs amplify the text.
